Green School Students help create the gardens at The Sanctuary
The yr 11 and some yr 10 students at the Green School in Bali recently came to help create some beautiful gardens at The Sanctuary. Together with their teachers Brynn and Joel and a parent, Richard, the students dedicated two days to create a very special healing circle and a wooden play house for the children who will come to live at The Sanctuary when it is complete.
The students slept on site in the new bamboo school and one of the joglos, cooked all their own meals, showered in a natural spring and generally got stuck in. The stunning Ganesha statue was donated by one of the parents and other costs were covered by the kind donations from Devere Group, Jaqui Colbeck's fundraiser and Claire Kirkman's fundraiser.
The healing circle will take time to mature and the students have said they would like to return in the future to continue to create more beautiful garden areas for the children. The dedication and willingness of the students was wonderful to see and we look forward to seeing them at The Sanctuary again soon.
