Clare's HotPot Party in Spain goes down a storm!
The lovely and bubbly Clare, a British resident in Spain, held a yummy HotPot Party last Sunday to raise money for Sacred Childhoods. She invited all her friends and associates and laid on a magnificent feast of hotpot and banoffee pie, and then charged each person 10euros to attend which went straight into the kitty. Natalia gave a speach about the work that Sacred Childhoods is doing, followed by a live radio interview on Heart FM. Sacred Childhoods' sister organisation 'Suchi' which employs the mothers in the slums to create gorgeous necklaces, clothing and other items, was also on show.
With ticket sales and extra donations we raised 291 euros for Sacred Childhoods plus 111 euros for Suchi, of which 50% goes to Sacred Childhoods.
The day was a real success, it was fun to socialise with everyone and a great way to raise awareness about the charity.
Thanks everyone so much for coming and thank you Clare for going to so much effort to arrange and host it!
