Combating Organised Crimes Against Children
Around the world millions of children are abused and exploited by organised groups. In Indonesia Sacred Childhoods has chosen to focus on three key issues:
- Child Trafficking for the Sex Trade
- Child Trafficking for the Organ Trade
- Organised Child Sexual Abuse (including Child Sex Tourism, Sex Offender Networks & Online Child Sexual Abuse)
As a specialist arm of Sacred Childhoods, the COCAC team are proactively Combating Organised Crimes Against Children through three initiatives; Awareness & Prevention, Intelligence & Advocacy, and Protection & Aftercare.
Project COCAC is tackling these serious issues from all angles, working with vulnerable street children, impoverished parents, local community leaders, local and international NGOs, Government ministers, the Indonesian National Police (INP) and international law enforcement including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Australian Federal Police (AFP), British Child Exploitation & Online Protection Unit (CEOP), and INTERPOL, amongst others.
To find out more please read through the other COCAC pages which you can find on the homepage. COCAC reports will soon be published on the Resources section.
