Design a Mission Trip

Are you the kind of person who prefers to get the job done yourself? If so, you’re very welcome to come and join the Sacred Childhoods team and complete a task at any of our children’s projects. You can utilize particular skills that you have to construct, mend, or improve facilities; transfer your experience in the workplace to helping on the front line; or bring your whole family with the aim of painting an orphanage, for example.  Mission trips are poignant if you wish to make a huge contribution and immerse yourself amongst the world’s poorest children to explore their nature, dignity and the common humanity that you share with them. You will need to fundraise for your particular mission and spend at least two weeks in Indonesia. The Sacred Childhoods team will help you throughout, please contact them to design your mission trip.

Volunteer

Volunteers are a huge part of Sacred Childhoods. They provide much of the workforce, each bringing with them new skills and talents. If you care deeply about the welfare of the world’s children and can sing, dance, make people laugh, play, do sports, be in nature, teach, swim, or go on trips then you’re qualified to be a volunteer. Equally, if you have experience in IT and web design, accounting, business, project management, research or fundraising you can also be of immense help.  Volunteers can come out for between 14 and 28 days and will need to pay for their own flights and a fee of £895 which includes accommodation, food, transport, and a contribution to the running costs of the foundation. Our Volunteers Co-ordinator, Julie Lucas, will take good care of you throughout and you will always be with a member of the team and other volunteers.

Help Whilst on Holiday

If you are planning a holiday in Indonesia or are currently there, please contact us if you would like to make a donation or get involved. You can join us on one of our fun excursion days when we take children out on fully supervised trips or come and visit one of the orphanages/children’s projects. Sacred Childhood supports various children’s projects in Bali, a popular tourist destination, so if you are there please do contact us if you’d like to get involved. We can often arrange transport to and from your hotel and tailor make half/full day excursions for a minimum donation of £75. 

Expat Support

If you are already living in Indonesia you have probably already given money to local orphanages/ children’s projects. If you would like to donate to Sacred Childhoods you can be sure that the money is not falling into corrupt or abusive hands. Equally if you would like to volunteer or hold an expat charity event please contact a member of the team.

Charity Event

If you would like to organise and host a charity event to raise funds for Sacred Childhoods please contact a member of the team.

Help Promote Us

One of the most effective ways you can support Sacred Childhoods is to tell your friends, family and associates about the foundation and forward the link to our website to all contacts in your email and mobile phone address books. Equally, if you have any links to press publications and could arrange free articles or adverts to raise awareness that is also a huge help.
